Refugees from Slavyansk: Kyiv authorities release of innocent people and bombed the city.
The humanitarian situation in Eastern Ukraine continues to deteriorate. Many people go to Russia to escape the bombing and artillery shelling.
RT correspondent Paul Scott spoke with some of those who left their homes, trying to escape the violence.
For many people, leaving the troubled East of Ukraine, on the Russian side of the border is the first TRANS-shipment point - the center of temporary accommodation. The majority of refugees have to go. They can stay with friends or relatives in Russia. However, some simply have nowhere to go, no one to turn to, and they are completely dependent on the authorities of the Rostov region. In the last 24 hours more than 600 people crossed the border to seek refuge. Most of them women and children trying to escape from instability in the East of Ukraine.
"We heard the explosions, how does the "Grad" rocket system of volley fire - approx. RT), it is unclear in what way, somewhere near. I can't hear these sounds. Children with me, but mother and grandmother were there, sitting in the basement. People do not understand that this is not going to end. We all houses have Palombella, there's nothing there anymore", - with tears in his eyes, told RT, one of the women in temporary accommodation.
"It is terrible that the Ukrainian authorities and the media say, the time that organized humanitarian corridors, nothing. People do not produce. People leave and continue to bomb," added another resident of Ukraine, forced to leave their home.
The authorities of the Rostov region receive donations from people from all over Russia. On the eve arrived 40 tons of humanitarian aid, including food, water and medicines. But due to the fact that the border cross daily average of 400 people in need of shelter, it is obvious that in the coming weeks will need even more help.
