Задержанные на востоке Украины журналисты должны быть немедленно отпущены. Об этом заявил 7 июня ИТАР-ТАСС представитель Еврокомиссии, комментируя захват проправительственными силами сотрудников российского телеканала "Звезда".

"Все задержанные журналисты на Украине должны быть немедленно отпущены. Мы считаем, что любые ограничения свободы прессы неприемлемы, в особенности, если они связаны с угрозой для работников СМИ", - подчеркнули в Еврокомиссии.

Съемочная группа "Звезды", работающая на Украине (оператор Андрей Сушенков и видеоинженер Антон Малышев), не выходит на связь с вечера 6 июня. По данным телеканала, репортеров задержали на контрольно-пропускном пункте недалеко от Славянска. Вооруженные люди в черной форме надели на журналистов маски и наручники и поставили их на колени. После этого их увезли в неизвестном направлении. К работе по освобождению сотрудников "Звезды" сразу же подключилось посольство России на Украине.

С призывом отпустить российских репортеров выступили Союз журналистов России и Союз журналистов Москвы.

Detainees in the East of Ukraine, journalists must be immediately released. This was announced on 7 June, ITAR-TASS, the European Commission representative, commenting on the seizure of the Pro-government forces staff of the Russian TV channel "Star".

"All the detained journalists in Ukraine should be immediately released. We believe that any restriction on the freedom of the press is unacceptable, especially if they are associated with the risk for workers of mass media", - emphasized in the European Commission.

The crew of "Stars", working in Ukraine (operator Andrey Susenkov and video engineer Anton Malyshev), does not communicate with the evening on 6 June. According to the channel, reporters were detained at a checkpoint near the town of Slavyansk. Armed people in black uniforms and put on journalists masks and handcuffs and placed them on her knees. After that they were taken away in an unknown direction. To work for the liberation of employees "Stars" were immediately joined by the Russian Embassy in Ukraine.
